Artist
Ken Carson
Fusing twitchy flows with pixelated beats and unfiltered songwriting, Ken Carson is one of Playboi Carti's truest disciples. Born Kenyatta Lee Frazier Jr. in 2000, he began his career in 2015 as a member of 808 Mafia. He hit his stride after joining Carti's Opium label in 2019, and in 2021 he released Project X, a stylish debut embedded with metallic melodies and soundscapes that could soundtrack Nintendo 64 games. In subsequent years, he fortified his catalogue with projects like X, XTENDED and A Great Chaos. While those efforts bore the traces of Playboi Carti’s stylistic influence, Carson's output has secured him a space all to himself in the hip-hop continuum—a realm of his own that’s as engrossing as it is futuristic.
